Penabulu Foundation with the support of several US-based funders has established the newly Indonesia Disaster Relief Fund (IDRF), an open-ended pooled fund that will be in-country distributed to locally-based Indonesian partner to provide limited financial support to eligible needy employees who are experiencing temporary financial distress or hardship due to certain emergency conditions. Currently, IDRF manages a number of emergency funds for COVID-19 Relief Fund (C19RF) which can be accessed to provide assistance for employees who bear COVID-19 related expenses that have occurred after 1 June 2021 to 31 March 2022.

Employee Emergency Assistance Fund (EEAF) is an open-ended fund mechanism which should be set up by the partners who wish to access IDRF. The EEAF mechanism should be equipped with the structure, operating procedures, and committee which is set through the Management Decree, in order to comply with U.S. charitable regulation. Penabulu will be closely assisting partners who wish to access IDRF in setting up the EEAF.
